Early civic participation in Junior League made lasting friendships nationwide, including selection as “woman of the year” while in Texas promoting “C.C.90” in Corpus Christi. Her business interests took her to Boston, Chicago, St. Louis, and New Orleans. In Portland, as Director of Bethany Montessori School she championed children’s growth. She published books to teach banking, manners, and cooking. Beverly was predeceased by her parents, a younger brother Billy, and her ex-husband. She is survived by her son Zachery Spiller and granddaughters Audrey and Mary; also a sister Carol. She married Stan Richards in 2013, and acquired two sons, a daughter, and multiple grandchildren.
