On May 25, 2025, Daniel Leon Holden Lippincott, affectionately known as "Lippy" by his Estacada High School 1972 classmates, was called Home to be with his Lord. His quiet passing was witnessed with family surrounding him. Dan enjoyed many career opportunities in his life from insurance salesman, owning a trucking company, mechanicing his own rigs, and finally in his retirement years, he discovered a hidden passion for wood crafting. He also doted on every pet he ever had. He was quite philanthropic. Every winter, while delivering products around Portland, he would hand out warm gloves, hats and sometimes the coats off his back to people struggling in the cold. Monetarily he supported foundations such as Portland Rescue Mission, Christian Broadcast Network (CBN) Israel, Tunnel to Towers and the homeless Veterans.
While his presence is sorely missed, we rejoice knowing he is 'playing football in Heaven' with all the Green Bay Packer greats hailing His Savior Jesus as the Quarterback.
Dan was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Lippincott and grandson, Jonathan Daniel Ewing. Surviving him are his wife, Kathy (Wheeler) Lippincott, son Leo Paul (LP) Lippincott and daughter T. Laurence; his father and mother, Leo and Shirley Lippincott; his sisters Shawn (Lippincott) Rauscher and Kim (Lippincott) Dodrill; as well as brothers-in laws Randy Rauscher, Brent Dodrill, Willard Lighty, Hank (Jan) Wheeler, Jeff Wheeler, Gregg (Karen) Wheeler, and Gary Boles as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by his father Robert Holden in 1954.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made directly to any of the charities he supported.
A special thanks goes to all of his friends and family that were there for us during this difficult time.
