Obituary For Kevin C. Olsen

Longtime Estacada resident, Kevin Olsen died suddenly on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. He was 63.
A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Estacada First Baptist Church.
Kevin Charles Olsen was born February 25, 1959 in Lebanon, Oregon to William and Constance (Johnson) Olsen. He was raised in Sweet Home, Oregon and graduated from high school there. After high school, Kevin worked at the Lebanon Saw Shop then went in construction. He went on a blind date with Kelly Marshall and they were married April 4, 1981 in Holly. They moved to the Estacada area in 1985 where they raised their daughters. For most of his working career Kevin was a foreman for Northwest Earth Movers retiring in 2018.
Kevin enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, working on projects in his shop and being in the outdoors. Being a husband, father and grandfather brought him the most joy in his life.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly; daughters, Kelsie (Tad) Osborne, Katie (Ben) Hammelman; grandchildren, Clayton, Hank and Sofia Hammelman; brother Brian Olsen; mother-in-law, Pat Marshall; sisters-in-law, Kerry (Brent) Knight, Cynthia Olsen, Sue Olsen; nephew Brandon (Ashley) Olsen and his family and many other nieces and nephews.

    Doug and I both worked with Kevin for many years at NEI and have many fond memories of those years with him and all others . Big hugs and happy thoughts for you Kelly and family as you move into this next phase of life as Doug and I both know he will leave a large void . He loved his family so much.
