Longtime Estacada resident, Ed White, died at his home with his family by his side on
Tuesday, September 23, 2025. He was 84 years old.
A celebration of his life with military honors will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, October 12,
2025, at Grace Crossing Bible Church.
Charles Edward White was born December 13, 1940, in Chico, Montana to Edward and
Eva (Charles) White. They moved to Eagle Creek when he was 10 years old. They
later moved to the George district. While in high school, Ed was very active in sports
and clubs. He graduated from Estacada High School in 1959 He then went to OIT in
Klamath Falls before he was drafted into the US Army. He was honorably discharged in
1969. On April 20, 1968, Ed married Margaret “Mike” Jackson. They made their home
in Eagle Creek where they raised their family. He worked as a lineman for Cascade
Utilities for over 40 years and retired in 2006.
Ed was active and enjoyed horse-back riding, hunting, camping, and golfing. His
greatest enjoyment came from supporting and cheering on his daughters,
grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all their various sporting activities. He
remained a true Estacada Ranger and enjoyed attending various sporting events over
the years.
Survivors include his daughters: Misty (Butch) Pletcher, Cami (Joe) Green, Tara White,
Brianna (Josh) Johnston, Shikara White and little Bitsy the Pomchi; brothers, Jack
White, Ron White; sister Nikki (Mike) Guthu; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren
and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
