Longtime Barton resident, Deena Valentine, went to be with The Lord on August 22, 2025. She
passed in her home, with her family by her side. She was 76 years old.
A celebration of her life will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Grace Crossing Bible
Church.
Deena Kay Dorff was born August 2, 1949 in Spokane, Washington to Paul and Dorothy Dorff.
They moved to Medford when she was a young child where she graduated from high school.
She later moved to Eagle Creek, where she met Dennis at Barton Church. On May 5, 1979,
Deena married Dennis Valentine in Barton where they have lived since.
From a young age Deena enjoyed arts and crafts. She taught stained glass classes for several
years, quilted, scrap booked, and had her own card making business. She was an active
member of Barton Baptist Church and later at Grace Crossing Bible Church. Deena also was a
volunteer at the school while her children were young. She was a devoted wife, mother,
grandmother, aunt, friend, and most importantly a devout follower of the Lord.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Valentine; daughter, Elly and her husband Jeff Ridgeway;
son, Jordan and his wife Malaika Valentine; sister, Glenda Ellis; grandchildren, Sienna Ridgeway,
Marissa Ridgeway, Micah Ridgeway, Patrick Ridgeway, Casey Frenz, and Julia Frenz.
