In Loving Memory Of

Anna Jean Beck

September 22nd, 1976 - January 28th, 2024

Obituary

Woodburn resident, Anna Beck, died Sunday, January 28, 2024 at her home. She was 47.

Anna Jean Beck was born September, 22 1976 in Denver, Colorado to Frank and Lynda (Elizares) Beck. She moved to Oregon as a small child and was raised in Oregon. Her mom eventually remarried to Michael Bufton. They got off to a rough start, but eventually they grew very close. After high school she became a mom and worked hard at various jobs. All the while trying to find her niche. She was very hands on and loved tinkering and fixing.

I think her favorite job was with Biketown (a rideshare program in Portland). She loved riding bikes around town. Indulging herself in the smells and people watching. All day she would ride from random bikes on the corner, and to the bike stations maintaining, fixing flats, and inspections.

She left Biketown only after being offered a position running a scooter share program. She did everything from building them to managing staff. She would troubleshoot wiring, manufacturer defects, and logistics. Covid shut things down at the scooter share and she started working with her fiancé Bryan doing roofing. As gentle and as sweet as she was. She was tough as nails and could outwork everyone.

Anna enjoyed everything. She loved travel and adventure. Car camping and waking to see deer, elk, and rabbits. She loved all animals big or small. She believed in eating healthy and had a large garden for her to work in. Bicycles were her favorite. Even traveling in Mexico she was sure to find bikes for us to ride. She converted her own bike to a pedal assist all on her own. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do.

Dexter, her granddog, was her world. She loved him so much, and they shared an incredible bond. He could sense her pain through her cancer journey, and was increasingly gentle with her.

Anna had a big heart, and if you made it through the labyrinth that it was. There was a special place for you. She was always looking towards the future. Excited for the upcoming wedding, and birth of her first biological granddaughter. She wanted so badly to be there when she arrived. God knew that her earthly body wasn’t going to be able to make it there. So he released her from the pain so she can be there in spirit.

Anna leaves behind her fiancé Bryan Clouser, her daughters Annesia and Arianna Cordova, her mother Lynda Bufton, brother Dane Egan, Annaise, her granddaughter, her blended family, and friends.

She will be missed so dearly, but we can all take comfort knowing that she is here in spirit when we need her the most. We love you Anna, forever and always. May your new journey be filled with happiness, love, and joy.

I met Anna when she was 3. I met her dad in 79 n we were married in 80. Anna came and spent time with us when we lived in Colorado. She was 10 at the time. I would curl her with rags we did each others nails. We go shopping n she had to have these pants they were white on one side n black on the other. Anna also brought her two cats with her. It was a good experience with her. Anna went back to Oregon n we kept in touch but we moved to Arizona n lost touch. Anna has two step sisters. Megan Beck n Miranda Brown. Miranda found Anna through the internet n they met n spent time together. I got to talk to Anna through Miranda finding her. Anna is and was a beautiful soul. My heart is broken. Thank you Bryan for loving her n seeing her through her battle with cancer. She fought hard to beat cancer. Cancer sucks. I’m glad I had you in my life for the time we did have. Sending love and prayers to Anna’s family. Rest in Paradise you beautiful Angel. Kathleen Beck
