Diana Marie Hughes passed away peacefully in her sleep on the evening of Friday October 27th 2023 at her home in Woodburn, Oregon. Diana was in the company of family at the time of her passing. She was just 63 years of age and passed after a fiercely fought battle with cancer.
Diana was Born Diana Marie Hay to Parents James Hay Sr. And Diana Hay (Alves) in Santa Clara, California on January 13th, 1960. Diana attended high school in Gustine, Newman and Modesto California before Graduating with her class at Orestimba High School in 1978. Diana married high-school sweet-heart John Daniel Hughes Sr. And they started a family of their own before divorcing years later. Diana spent much of her professional life working in the medical field as a CNA and Medical Assistant. She was named Medical Assistant of the year on multiple occasions and served as the President of the Medical Assistants Society for multiple years developing lasting friendships and serving as a mentor to many along the way.
Diana enjoyed travelling and crafting in her spare time. Though her biggest love was always spending time with her family and friends.
Diana is survived by her two children, son John Daniel Hughes Jr. And daughter Andrea Lee Garber as well as her pride and joy in life her six Grandchildren Zachary, Audrey, Gabrielle, August, Aiden and Emma. Surviving siblings include Christine Cozzitorto, Tammy Yamamoto, Loretta Rocha, James Hay Jr., Donna Davis and Cathy Souza.
A celebration of her life will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Estacada Funeral Chapel.
