Don always had a friendly smile and kind words. He helped with the process we had to be involved in as a person with calm demeanor. I could always look at him and feel somewhat normal because he exuded something special for all our needs. A light hearted comment or smile. I wish I got to know him better in a different circumstance but as grief goes maybe he was suppose to be where we needed him to be. As the saying goes....the good always leave us way too soon and Don was an angel in disguise. Hope your wings are flying free now and may you rest in peace until we all meet again. Louise

Our ohana's thoughts and prayers are with Don's family ~ especially his wife Jona in Estacada, their children and grandchildren, his dad in Bremerton, and all of their extended family members, and friends. Gone too soon. I met Don at Fairview Jr. High in 1977. I last saw him in 1982. After decades had passed, we reconnected through Facebook, as we shared many mutual friends. We had hoped that our families would meet each other someday, either for lunch or dinner, or at an Olympic High School class reunion in Bremerton, Washington. Sadly, our families never had that chance to meet in person. Don, I know you are not alone in Heaven. You are there with your mom Mitsuko, sister Donna, and daughter Hollie, who you have mourned for, all of these years since their passing. I know you are all looking upon the friends and family you all left behind, as their Guardian Angels from up above. God, you gained a new angel in Heaven. Please take care of Don. May Don, Mitsuko, Donna, and Hollie all Rest in Peace until they are reunited with loved ones someday. A hui hou kakou my friend. Aloha pumehana, Cindy (Fernandez) & Chuck Reidy and ohana

Don you are know to brighten others day and bring a smile to everyone's face. I will always cherish the time I was able to work with you and for knowing you even after you moved on to new places. In my mind you are a ๐ŸŒˆ of joy and happiness ment to shine the brightest. Our love for food will remind me of you always. I loved knowing we could talk about Hawaii and about Schofield and the amazing food the island was k own for. Thank you for letting me do a Hawaiian lunch cookout for work. You Crack me up all the time. You kept my little hand colored cutouts like the Shaka sign and others. You are sitting on a beach with your toes in the sand in paradise now.
