Longtime Estacada resident Eddy Neal Ready passed away in his home January 8, 2021.
A Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
Ed was born in Gould, Oklahoma December 13, 1942 to Mattie N. Moran Ready and Howard Ready. The family traveled to various destinations working crops throughout the years, until finally settling in Yamhill, OR. Ed graduated from Columbia Christian College in 1959. He married Sandra Witt, January 21, 1961, Ed and Sandra settled in Redland, Or and had three children. They later divorced.
Ed was employed at Omark Industries-Oregon Saw Chain Division for many years. He later owned and operated Mumpy's Restaurant and Lounge (Home of the Loggerburger) in Carver at the height of the Logging era. Ed enjoyed tending bar for Friends, the locals, river rafters, and anyone else that might drop in. Mumpy's was always 'hopping' and was the 'go to' place for Dining and Dancing.
Ed bought a home in Estacada in 1995 to be closer to the things that he loved, Hunting and Fishing. He also loved gardening and had an exceptional talent for starting any plant or tree from one tiny seed or a small cutting.
Ed will always be remembered as a kind-hearted and unselfish man, willing to give you his last dollar or help you out with projects that you might have. He will be surely missed as the kind, happy, energetic and giving Father, Brother, Grandfather, Friend and Neighbor that he was.
Ed's Brothers and Sisters include: Bill Ready, Dolly Ready Hoover, Richard Frank Ready, Linda Ready Gardiner (deceased) and Jim Ready (deceased). Ed's children include: Lillie Ready Breazeale, Eddy Ready (deceased February 25, 2014), Michael Ready, and Daniel Delisle. Ed's grandchildren include: Clay, Rylee, Bailey and Kyle.
