Ed was born in Gould, Oklahoma December 13, 1942 to Mattie N. Moran Ready and Howard Ready. The family traveled to various destinations working crops throughout the years, until finally settling in Yamhill, OR. Ed graduated from Columbia Christian College in 1959. Ed enjoyed tending bar for Friends, the locals, river rafters, and anyone else that might drop in. Mumpy's was always 'hopping' and was the 'go to' place for Dining and Dancing.
Ed bought a home in Estacada in 1995 to be closer to the things that he loved, Hunting and Fishing. He also loved gardening and had an exceptional talent for starting any plant or tree from one tiny seed or a small cutting.
