I’m very sad to have received this news. I worked with Ernie for 20+ years and much of what I have learned in my career is rightfully attributable to him. For that I am forever grateful. When he retired, I knew with certainty that we had lost a most valued mentor, caregiver and incredible friend to those who knew him. I am fortunate to have known him, worked alongside him, fished with him and learn important life lessons from him. He will be greatly missed. Jeff Robins
I am deeply saddened to hear of Ernie’s passing. Having been a co-worker with Ernie for 23 years at Providence, I can tell you that Ernie was one of the most respected and talented Cardiovascular Technologists in the profession, but most importantly an incredible human being. Ernie worked as hard as any individual, always addressing the needs of the patients. Every physician wanted Ernie on their cases. If Ernie mentioned that something wasn’t right, you needed to listen. He was a true patient advocate and could work with any other individual to attain the highest level of care. Ernie always entertained the team by bringing in his various crafts for show and tell. If you ever received any hand made item from Ernie, you had something you would keep for life. His smile, dedication and true caring for others will be missed by me and many others. Dan Scharbach
