Longtime Estacada resident, Happy Rehberg, died on Saturday, March 30, 2024 in Canby. She was 97 years old.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Estacada Funeral Chapel. Private Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.
Florence Ellen Rehberg was born October 06, 1926 in Portland, Oregon to Irving and Lenora (Kinston) Cadonau. She was raised in Estacada where she graduated from high school in May of 1945. Happy went to work for Pacific NW Bell as a switchboard operator. After WWII, she started dating Bob Rehberg and they married August 7, 1947 in Vancouver, Washington. They made their home in Portland where they started their family until they moved to Estacada in 1960. She was a homemaker until the mid-1960’s, Happy started working for Cascade Utilities (now Reliance Connects) as a switchboard operator then in the early 1970’s she was in customer service. She retired in 1988. Happy was an avid golfer and enjoyed gambling, dancing, tole painting and other crafts.
Survivors include her sons, John (Dede) Rehberg, Paul Rehberg; daughters, Gayle Zenor, Susie (Tom) Klaetsch; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 2007; son, Michael Rehberg in 2009 and twin sister, Frances “Red” O’Berg in 2006.
