Longtime Colton resident, George DeWitt, died suddenly on Thursday, April 13, 2023. He was 63 years old. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, April 21, 2023 at Grace Crossing Bible Church formally Estacada First Baptist Church followed by a committal service at Elwood Cemetery. George Edward DeWitt was born April 19, 1959 in Portland, Oregon to George Thomas and Mary Anne (Mathieu) DeWitt. He was raised in Portland and graduated from Benson Tech High School in 1977. On November 2, 1996, he married Becky. They moved to Colton. For most of his working career, George worked for PGE retiring after 35 years as an inspector. Survivors include his wife, Becky DeWitt; son, Shaun (Jessica) DeWitt; daughters, Sara DeWitt, Darylann (Tyler) Johnson, Becki (Paul) Raines, Hannah (Sam) Antosh; sister, Tricia Pietrzyk and 13 grandchildren.
