James Dale Barton, died Thursday February 1, 2024 at the age of 68.
He was born August 3,1955 in Oregon City to Melvin and Bonnie Barton (Ulbricht).
Jim spent the majority of his life as a resident of Colton after moving there as a child and graduating from Colton High School in 1973. He was married to Peggy Hood on August 17th, 1985, they later divorced. Jim's career as a mechanic saw him repairing everything from heavy equipment, Volkswagens to sanitation equipment.
He was also an avid outdoorsman enjoying time spent fishing, camping, and hunting.
Jim is survived by his sons, Kristoff Leuzinger-Barton (Mascha) and Daniel Barton; Grandchildren; Megan and Kyle Leuzinger-Barton, Katelynn, Makayla, Connor, and Blake Barton.
No service will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be planned in the spring/ summer months.
