Jerry was my brother in law for the years he was married to Karen. I was only 17 when I first met him and I believe he was still driving for Tri Met. Always a joker he had a devilish side but always with a twinkle in his eye. He was very good with people who had medical issues. I remember how careful he was with my mom when she couldn't get out of a chair. He and Karen had many adventures on the big trucks and driving with the kids back to Connecticut. Recently, I sat next to him at dinner at the Hovda's and we talked a bit about old times. He still had that wit and twinkle in his eye although we have all grown older and remembering is more difficult. “We are all stories in the end, remembered by the adventures we had, the achievements we made and the people we loved. ..."
