John Tymkowicz, a beloved member of the community, passed away on September 22, 2024 at the age of 69. Born on April 14, 1955, in Oregon City, he was the son of John (Sr.) and Lorene Tymkowicz. Raised in Estacada, John graduated from Estacada high school and proudly served in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1976.
His professional journey began in the logging industry, before transitioning to a rewarding career with Portland General Electric (PGE) in 1978, he was a dedicated employee and supervisor, adapting to changes in the industry. He moved his family to Three Lynx and worked at the PGE hydro plant. He achieved great success with PGE until his retirement.
Outside of work, John found joy in many pursuits. He loved spending time with friends, giving back to his community, and driving his cherished 1931 hot rod. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. A passionate supporter of the Oregon Ducks, he relished attending games at the stadium whenever he could.
John was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother.
