Longtime Estacada resident, Juanita Deets, died in Sandy, on Thursday, December 8, 2022. She was 95.
A funeral mass will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 19, 2022 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church followed by a committal service at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Juanita May Huber was born December 17, 1926 in Livingston, Illinois to August and Della (Sorrells) Huber. She was raised there and on May 28, 1950 she married John Deets in Rockford, Illinois. They immediately moved to Portland where they started their family on December 31, 1950, they moved to Estacada where she lived until recently. For many years Juanita worked on berry machines with several of her closest friends. She was the last of her generation.
Juanita enjoyed walking and being with her family. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Loretta M. (Bob) Felix of Sandy; sons, John (Bonnie) Deets of La Grande, Spencer (Donna) Deets of Estacada, William (Debbie) Deets of Tucson, AZ, Lawrence (Patty) Deets of Hoquiam, Washington; 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren. Her husband and one great grandchild preceded her in death.
