Kathy (Smith) Redmond Passed away peacefully in Portland Adventist Hospital on June 2,2024 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 73.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 45 years George Redmond of Estacada, OR; children, Jeweli (Roadman)Taylor, son-in-law Vldn Taylor and son Michael Roadman; Sister Ruth Ann Sherman of Uniontown PA. She is preceded in death by Her Mother Sadie (King) Wedge and Step Father Herb Wedge of Colton; Sister Vicky Haggerty of Connellsville PA.
Kathy was born on October 4,1950 in Connellsville, PA to Albert Wayne and Sadie(King) Smith. Kathy began working for Precision Castparts Corp. in July 1978 in the wax department first as a wax cleaner, then a wax mold machine operator, ending as a High Volume Wax Operator. She retired from PCC with more than 34 years of service.
Kathy enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Oregon football teams on TV.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Portland Adventist Hospital for their excellent care.
There will not be a service. A Celebration of life to be held at a future date.
