Longtime Molalla resident Lewis Bavart, died Monday, January 1, 2024 at his home. He was 76.
Lewis was born October 18, 1947 in Oregon City, Oregon to Alfred and Corrine (Gardner) Bavart. He was raised in Estacada where he graduated from high school. After graduation, he entered the Navy and remained in until 1971 when he was honorably discharged. Lewis then married Carol Heider in and they later divorced. He then married Mary Jo Wilson and they remained married until Mary passed away. Lewis worked as a janitor for the veteran’s administration until he retired in 2014.
Lewis was lover of computer games and a collector of rocks which he would polish and use to make jewelry.
Survivors include his brother, Leslie Bavart and sister, Connie Erickson.
