I know we didn't know each other like we should because we are family, but the few times we dis meet at family reunions you always had a smile on your face and you always made me feel welcomed. I love you uncle Mel and you will dearly be missed by me. You brought joy to my heart from just being near you. Wish we could of spent more time together. Regina ( gina) Murray
Dear Uncle Mel,
You were so special to me and I will never forget you coming to my rescue when my 64 Chevy impala lost a couple of lug nuts and I was stranded on the side of the road on my way to your house. You were my hero that day. I'll never forget you trying to teach Aunt Dana to drive a stick. She had us rocking like a bucking bull. Thank God you stopped her just in time not to go through the garage door. We must have laughed all day about that. We had lots of times together when I lived with you and Aunt Dana. But the one thing that I still remember like it was yesterday, is when you enrolled me in school and found out that the school would paddle you if you were out of line. YIKES, that was crazy. But I never got out of line.
Thanks Uncle Mel for sharing my first child's life with you. Tasha loved it when you would hold and bounce her on your knee. That's Uncle Mel for everyday that I got to spend with you. You'll always be in my heart. I'll never stop loving you. Please REST IN PEACE.. WE WILL MEET AGAIN.
Gwen Edwards

As the father of my childhood best friend, Lesly, Mel holds a special place in my heart. He is in a lot of memories I have growing up in Estacada. I always loved hanging out at their house. Mel was nothing but kind to me, even when I was in trouble! This loss is definitely being felt and I am so sorry I'm unable to be there. Angie Morris
Dad,

Words can’t capture the depth of our loss in saying goodbye to such an incredible man my dad.. He was more than just a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; he was the heart of our family, a storyteller whose tales filled our lives with warmth and laughter. He loved each of us with a fierce, unconditional love, always showing how much we meant to him. His stories and his love will forever be cherished in our hearts. Though our hearts are heavy, we are comforted by the rich legacy of love, wisdom, and memories he has left us. His spirit will continue to guide us and his love will forever be our compass.

Love forever you daughter,
Lesly
