Michael Wayne Crumbaker, age 64, of Vancouver, Washington passed away November 22, 2022 from complications due to kidney cancer. Mike was born October 3, 1958 in Spokane, Washington. He attended school at Northwest Christian. He attended College at Multnomah School of the Bible, Pacific Lutheran University, Spokane Falls Community College and completed his degree at Eastern Washington University with a BAed. He was hired as a 1st year teacher in Chewelah, Washington, where he met his wife, Margo. Mike continued his teaching career in Chewelah and then finished in Bremerton, Washington. Although Mike loved the kids and coaching, he decided to pursue a life in business. He was a successful business owner for a time, but life took a turn which brought him to his favorite career working in sales at General Pacific. 30 years in and he still desired to finish well to the end.
Mike was dedicated to his work, but his pride and joy was in his family. Being present and devoted to his family first and in raising his kids Melissa and Jeffery was of key importance to him. You would find Mike at all their sports events, theater programs and choir performances …BEAMING!!! More recently, he shared in the joy and interests of his 6 grandchildren.
Mike was intentional, honest, silly, joyful, a great listener and story teller. Mike was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years, Margo, their children Melissa (Matt), Jeffery (Missy), and 7 grandchildren Connor (13), Ava (12), Annabelle (11), Emma (11), Parker (9), Thomas (6) and baby C (due April 7), Mike’s mom Sharon Wheeler and sister Shari (Matt) Miller.
