Monty Redding passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday August 8, 2024. He was 67 years old. Monty Edward Redding was born on November 19, 1956, in Washington, to Gerald and Nancy (Roby) Redding. He spent his formative years in Welches, Oregon, and later graduated from Sandy High School. Monty found love with Toni Smith, whom he married in 1984 in Welches. Together, they resided in Sandy until 2010, when they relocated to Estacada. Monty dedicated many successful years to the sanitation industry, working as a consultant for Wesmar until his retirement in 2016.
In his leisure time, Monty found joy in hunting, fishing, playing basketball, and reveling in the great outdoors. He cherished these activities immensely.
Monty is survived by his loving wife, Toni Redding; his daughters, Tawnya Redding and Cassandra Lane; brother, Terry Redding; sister, Julie Kanoa; granddaughter, Helen Lane; uncle Gary Roby and aunt Mary Ann Green; uncle Ron and aunt Judy Brown; cousin, John Ross; nephews and nieces Jacob and Amy Joe Carlson, Kelly and Melissa Roby; and his faithful canine companion, Miles. He is preceded in death by his beloved dogs, Buddy, and Kit.
