Obituary

Longtime Eagle Creek resident, Pauline Rediske, died peacefully in her sleep in Gresham the morning of Thursday, July 22, 2021. Private family services will be held. Pauline Marie Westover was born March 10, 1942 in Denver, Colorado to Willian and Frances (Romine) Westover. She grew up in Morrison, a small community outside of Denver. In 1957, the family moved to the Portland area where she graduated from David Douglas High School in 1960. That same year, she married Marlo Waldo Rediske. After attending business school, Pauline worked in the accounting field, predominately in payroll and accounts payable for the Reynolds School District and for Loaves and Fishes. She and Marlo were married for forty-one years before he died, in 2001, doing what they both loved, boating and fishing. Pauline retired in 2002. Pauline was a hard worker and easily made long and cherished friendships. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, camping, fishing, going to the beach and being with friends. She loved helping others in need, including volunteering at Gleaners. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Irene (Johnny Lee) Osteen; grandchildren, Nathan Eugen Osteen, John Jeffery Osteen, Jason J. Rediske; sisters, Gerrie Booth, Michelle Trofitter; brother, William Westover and three nieces, one nephew and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son David Eugene Rediske and husband Marlo. She was loved by all who knew her.

We're blessed to have shared some wonderful times with Polly & family at the beach. Polly was creative and adventurous, always thinking of new ways to enhance, perfect or repurpose something. Her sense of humor and ability to get along with everyone made our time together pleasurable and entertaining. We remember Polly best for her uplifting spirit, smile and laugh that made happy hour happier. It was always a hoot when we had the privilege to share time with the family and see Polly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sharon, Gerrie & Michelle, and extend to other family members and friends of Polly. She was loved by many and will be missed. May we find peace and comfort in the memories we hold close. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you. Doug & Marinda Thayer Doug & Marinda Thayer
