Rebecca (Becky) Jo Allquist-Person Longtime Sandy resident, Becky Person, died on Saturday, May 21, 2022 in Gresham. She was 71. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Peace Lutheran Church in Estacada. Burial will follow at Forrester Cemetery. Rebecca Jo Allquist was born November 22, 1950 in Forest Lake, Minnesota to Lynn and Violet (Stadler) Allquist. Her family moved to the Portland area and she graduated from David Douglas High School. After high school, she worked at a pharmaceutical Company in Portland then went to work for her father’s butcher plant. Later she worked at Children’s World and Prokops TV repair for most of her working career she was a preschool teacher. She married Douglas Person on July 26, 1986. Becky enjoyed cooking, camping, and she loved going to church and was very passionate about her faith. She had a great love for preschoolers and teaching them. Survivors include her husband, Douglas Person; daughter, Brenda Person; son, Billy Joe Smith; daughter-in-law, Summer Johnson; grandchildren, Anthony, Bill, Amanda, and Chase Smith; sister, Debra LaJoie; nephews, Ben Betts; niece, Emily James. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Brian, Lynn and Randall Allquist.
