Obituary

Longtime Estacada resident, Ronnie Scott Cauble, passed peacefully at Willamette Falls Hospital on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. He was 67 years old.

A memorial Mass with Fire Department honors, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church.

Ronnie Scott Cauble was born November 26, 1956 in Oakland, California to Glenn and Geraldine (Teixeira) Cauble. He was raised in San Jose and graduated from Piedmont Hills High School. He went into the Navy and served four years before attending Chemeketa College for Fire Science.  In 1981, Ronnie worked for Clackamas Fire.  He later moved to The City of Portland Fire Department and retired after 26 years of service.  He married Mary Jane Decker in 1990 in Milwaukie, Oregon and moved to Estacada.

Ronnie loved to cook.   He volunteered for St. Vincent De Paul helping with food boxes.  He donated a lot of his time helping with the upkeep of the church.  He loved dogs and all animals.  

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Cauble, son Gregory Michael Cauble, stepdaughter, Stephanie Lynn Decker, stepson, Michael John Decker; brother Paul Cauble, brother Ken Cauble and his wife Hedy.  He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Cauble.
