In Loving Memory Of

Shane Eugene McKay

May 27th, 1984 - November 27th, 2024

Obituary

Shane Eugene McKay was born May 27, 1984 in Idaho Falls Idaho. He was such a blessing to his family. He was a happy, energic little boy, full of life and adventure. Always wanting to be outside as long as he didn't have to get dirty.

At age 3 his little brother Christopher was born. Shane loved to help with his little brother. As they grew, they were great together. The family lived in Idaho and made the moved Oregon living at first in Troutdale where Shane went to school until 5th and then moved to Estacada Idaho. He lived on a small farm and had animals which he loved. Animals were his passion and was so kind to them. As Shane grew, he was interested in Music, singing and Drama. When he got into High school he was in the Choir and Drama and loved to productions he was involved with. Shane was involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day throughout his school years so he was involved in the youth activities there which included Scouting. Which included camping, hiking, fishing, boating and so many others that he so enjoyed. Always wanting to be outside as long as he didn't have to get dirty.

After Shane graduated from Estacada High School in 2002 he decided he wanted to leave home and go on a different adventure in life. He spent a lot of time in Portland then went to Utah and then to California. Those adventures didn't agree with him to well so he moved back to Portland. In 2009 one of the greatest things that had ever happened to him was the birth of his son, Zak. He loved his son, and it was difficult for him when Zak wasn't with him.

On November 27, 2024 at age 40 the adventures of this earthly life came to an end for Shane. It has been a very difficult time for his family to understand that he had to go so young. But one of the kindest things he chose to do was he signed up to be an Organ donor. Now there are 4 individuals that will be able to live longer because of Shane's kindness.

He is survived by his parents, Darrell and Debbie McKay, Christopher McKay, and Zak McKay. Ð_x009d_е is proceeded in death by both sets of Grandparents, and several Aunts and Uncles that he loved.

There will be a celebration of life for Shane in the Spring around his birthday.
